The MileagePlus (Premier) status challenge lets you reach Silver, Gold, Platinum or 1K by completing Within 120 days of an activating United flight: Silver 5 PQF + 1,700 PQP; Gold 10 PQF + 3,400 PQP; Platinum 15 PQF + 5,000 PQP; 1K 20 PQF + 7,500 PQP. PQP can come from flights or eligible United Chase card spend within 120 days — fee Free. It's the fastest published route to United Airlines status short of a credit card, and far quicker than a full qualifying year.
