Marriott Bonvoy has no open public status match. A status challenge to Gold or Platinum is available. The fastest route is the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card, which grants Platinum Elite.
Platinum Elite (instant via the Brilliant card) is the sweet spot — suite-eligible upgrades, 4pm checkout, lounge access and a 50% bonus.

Fastest card route to status
Grants Platinum Elite — Grants automatic Platinum Elite with no spend requirement plus 25 elite night credits per year. Standard co-brand cards grant 15 elite night credits per year (a head start, not status). Annual fee $650.

Expiration & how to keep it
Earned status runs through February of the following year; 2026 soft-landing lets you drop only one tier if you miss requalification (floored at any Lifetime tier). Card-granted status lasts while the card is open.
